Overview

As a Category Management Intern, you will support the Category Management, Brands, and Pricing teams by analyzing promotional product performance, evaluating competitor pricing, and contributing to the development of best-in-class promotional events.

This internship offers hands-on experience in category management, branding, and pricing, while helping drive strong promotional sales and effective use of vendor funds.

 

Responsibilities

 

Department Goals

  • Drive strong promotional sales through effective use of vendor funds, competitive pricing, and impactful promotional marketing vehicles.
  • Collaborate with Pricing, Category Management, and Brands Departments to analyze promotional product performance and generate actionable insights.
  • Develop processes to gather, analyze, and evaluate competitor pricing for upcoming promotional products and events.
  • Establish performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of products and promotional events.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of Category Management processes for promotional events.

Qualifications

Qualifications

 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, spreadsheet management, and reporting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and business intelligence is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen interest in category management, branding, and pricing.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborative mindset and proactive learner.
