The Digital Marketing Leader has accountability over Digital Marketing, Digital Advertising, Social Media Marketing, and Online Shopping & eCommerce for all of MDI, MDI's retail customers, and MDI's Services customers. This includes Business-to-Consumer (B2C), Business-to-Business (B2B), and Business-to-Business-to-Consumer (B2B2C) platforms, strategies, and tactics. This organizational leader has Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility over a significant revenue and profit source for the company. This role will be leading a team of technical and business professionals.
Define financial goals for digital marketing, digital advertising, social media marketing, online shopping & eCommerce platforms. Lead this profit center for the business towards significant P&L returns for MDI, MDI Services, and MDI's customers.
Develop strategic roadmaps and implement applicable initiatives for all digital marketing, digital advertising, social media marketing, online shopping & eCommerce platforms and services for MDI, MDI's retail customers, and MDI's Services customers.
Design and deploy all strategies and tactics within the above to drive the succss of MDI and MDI's customers through increased sales, profit, and loyalty.
Negotiate, lead and manage formal partnerships and relationships with 3rd party solution providers and experts. Develop and manage accountability to the defined Scope of Work (SOW).
Lead a team of up to six technical and marketing professionals in the execution of the strategic roadmaps and all tactics therein.
Lead the development of sales tactics and program execution tools relevant to the scope of this role to enhance MDI's ability to drive change with retailers and drive the top and bottom lines of both MDI and MDI's customers.
Partner with the Ad Group Directors, Advertising Manager, Shopper Marketing Manager, and the CRM team to drive collaborative team success for the organization, its retail customers, and its Services customers through consistent and synergistic marketing and communication campaigns.
Manage the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of MDI's formal, public-facing website and social media pages. Collaborate with Alex Lee IS teams on the evolution of MDI's digital customer portal. Represent the lens of MDI's customers and design excellence.
Lead the education of both MDI and Alex Lee organizations on how digital marketing and new capabilites are (1) changing consumer behavior and (2) dramatically improving the impact and ROI of marketing and advertising efforts.
Direct marketing analysis to evaluate tactical efforts, enhance these marketing communication tactics and drive improved playbooks.
Partner and collaborate with MDI's Analytics & Insights team to evaluate performance against objectives and report performance and insights to the organization.
Drive thoughtful change in the organization towards modern marketing techniques and perspectives.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Analytics or related field.
7-10 years of professional experience
5+ years of digital marketing and eCommerce experience
Strong data interpretation, analytical and communication skills with a focus on Google analytics
Ability to manage complex processes with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience writing and managing business plans and strategic roadmaps.
Experience briefing executives on program and business unit performance.
Outstanding organization skills, and ability to multi-task in a deadline oriented environment
